The Group highly appreciates UNIDO's initiative on organising this 6th LDC Ministerial Conference which is being held this year in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Group commends UNIDO, as its one of the first agencies that integrates the Istanbul Programme of Action for the LDCs into its agenda, and while recognising their unique development challenges and needs, UNIDO has further given special attention to the least developed countries as outlined in the Lima Declaration.
