Ambassador to Austria, Permanent Representative to International
Organizations in Vienna
Ambassador Bazoberry Otero is a career diplomat from the Bolivian
Foreign Service. He is Ambassador to Austria and Permanent Representative
to the International Organizations in Vienna since May 2004.
During the first semester of 2005 he acted as Chairman of the Latin
American and Caribbean Group. He is the Chairman of the 49th. General
Conference of the IAEA and chaired the Committee of the Whole of the June
2005 Industrial Development Board of UNIDO.
He occupied various important functions in the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of his country, among others as Director General for Multilateral
Relations and Diplomatic Coordinator for the Rio Group during Bolivia's
term as Pro Tempore Secretariat.
He was posted in many Bolivian Embassies like USA, Belgium and the
European Commission. Ambassador Bazoberry is a lawyer graduated in the San
Andrés University of La Paz and he holds an M.A. degree in
International Law from SAIS - American University, School of Law in
Washington D.C..
