Statement of the G-77 and China during the 34th resumed session
of the UNIDO Industrial Development Board (IDB), 2 September 2008, delivered
by H.E. Ambassador Shahbaz, Permanent Representative of Pakistan

The Group of 77 and China takes note with appreciation of the information contained in document IDB.34/9/Add.1.
The Group highly appreciates the generous offer of the Federal Government of Nigeria to host the thirteenth session of the UNIDO General Conference scheduled from 7-11 December 2009 in Abuja, Nigeria.
The Group would also like to express its thanks to the Secretariat for its efforts, in pursuance of the Industrial Development Board's decision IDB.34/Dec.5.
The Group supports the holding of the thirteenth session of the General Conference of UNIDO from 7-11 December 2009 in Abuja, Nigeria.
The Group requests the Director-General to continue his consultations with the Government of Nigeria and keep the Member States informed of these consultations.
